Aftercare

In the days and weeks following the death of a loved one, grief makes every task seem more difficult.  Everyone experiences grief in a different way and in their own time.  Many emotions may be felt from sadness to anger. Knowing that others have been through a similar experience can be of comfort. There are community based support groups and counselors. The funeral home has books and resources available in its lending library that offer practical advice about getting through this difficult time.

The funeral director or our Family Service Coordinator, Stephanie Plantone, is always available to answer any questions and lend support.  Referrals can be provided to appropriate professionals, social service agencies or grief counselors.  Stephanie can help with practical matters by verifying signatures as a notary, assisting with insurance forms, employer notification, and applications for veterans or other government benefits.

For further assistance please contact either funeral home. Be assured that our commitment to caring continues beyond the funeral home.
